Opening new monoclonal antibody treatment sites in Florida – WFTV

ORLANDO, Fla. — Florida will open new monoclonal antibody treatment sites in central Florida on Tuesday.

According to the Florida Department of Health, treatments can prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death in high-risk patients who have contracted or been exposed to COVID-19.

Monoclonal antibody treatments are free and vaccination status does not matter.

Health officials said monoclonal antibody treatment showed a 70% reduction in hospitalizations and deaths in clinical trials.
