muda: An Rti activist questions Muda agents on auction sites for family members | Mysore News

Mysuru: Days after RTI activist Gangaraju was allegedly threatened at the office premises of the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (Muda), the activist on Tuesday questioned Muda officers about how members of the A family obtained sites through the site’s online auction and demanded the matter be investigated.
Muda agents helped the MLA regularize encroached lands after they created sites and then transferred them by auction to family members of the chosen one, the activist claimed.
Gangaraju told reporters that after a complaint of alleged encroachment on land surrounding a convention center off the outer ring road in the name of a relative of the lawmaker was filed, the MP allegedly instigated Muda officers to converting encroached land into sites, which, Gangaraju claimed, was purchased through an online auction.
Gangaraju demanded that the government investigate how family members obtained sites through online auctions. “The Muda commissioner must be transferred and an investigation must be carried out,” he said.
Gangaraju had recently filed a police complaint against Raghu and others believed to be supporters of MP SR Mahesh, accusing them of threatening him. MLA is also named in the FIR.
MP SR Mahesh did not respond to calls. TNN
